Working at the markets with high competition JSC “Polotsk-Steklovolokno” has a number of advantages, the most important among those is that glass fiber production at our factory includes all technological processes, starting from production of rovings, glass fiber forming, its processing and ending with glass fabric finishing. This will allow to provide a wider range of products and to respond promptly to the wishes of the clients, to be stable and flexible at the world markets.

Glass fiber forming
Glass fiber forming is made by two methods: direct glass melting process and marble process. The main volume of the goods is made by direct melting process, which is a more progressive one. Fiber produced in the form of direct rovings goes for drying (high frequency dryer or convection) and is used as commercial grade direct roving or depending upon final designation is rewound and is subjected to texturizing.

Е-glass — the most commonly used glass of general purpose, used for production of electric insulation, construction, building and thermal insulation materials, where strength and high electrical endurance are required. Materials made of silica and Puresil are used as high temperature insulation, as replacement of articles made of asbestos and quartz, their operating temperature exceeds +10000С, which allows to use the given materials as wonderful thermal barrier, protective means from fire and effect of extremely high temperatures. VMP — high-modulus glass used for production of composite materials which require high strength and stability under influence of extreme temperature and corrosion environment.
