In January, 1965
the second stage of the plant having complete production cycle, from glass fiber forming up to its processing into fabric, was put into operation.
In December, 1967
there was produced the first batch of consumer goods from glass reinforced plastic at the plant — 300 pieces of five-section fishing rods.
In November, 1970
Polotsk glass fiber plant was named after Lenin Komsomol of Belarus, and in 1971 glass fabric of TRCF (b)-О type was marked by the state Quality symbol as the first glass fabric at the enterprise.
In June, 1976
the third stage of the plant was put into operation.
In December, 1977
there was completed the construction of workshop No 5, separate division of the factory specializing in production of consumer goods from glass reinforced plastics and already in the first half of 1979 the workshop No 5 achieved its designed capacity.
On January 17, 1979
the contract with «Woodall-Duckham» company was signed in Moscow on purchasing of the complete equipment for textile glass fiber plant in Ksty. This was the first step in modernization of the plant and transfer to direct melting process of glass fiber forming.
On September 21, 1981
there was signed the order of the Council of Ministers of the USSR according to which Polotsk Production Association "Steklovolokno” was established on September, 29.
On December 30, 1982
the first complex of textile glass fiber plant was put into operation.
On April 21, 1984
Start-up of glass melting furnace for direct melting process of glass fiber forming and already on May 15, 1984 the first products were received in direct melting glass fiber forming area, the second complex was put into operation.
On October 22, 1984
the millionth meter of glass fabric was produced.
On February, 1989
own facility for the production of glass marbles was built, the third complex was put into operation.
On August 15, 1990
there was formed the department of foreign economic relations, and since July 1, 1991 the commercial service was set up, i.e. the first steps in orientation of products of the plant to export were made.
On June 19, 1997
1.5 milliard meter of glass fabric was produced.
In October, 1998
the furnace for manufacturing of glass fiber by direct melting process for silica materials was started, which is still one of the most perspective directions of activity of the enterprise at present.
In April, 2000
the direct melting furnace for glass fiber forming was started in the area No 12.
On September 1, 2001
the enterprise was visited by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigorjevich Lukashenko.
On December 20, 2002
for the first time 25000 tons of glass fiber were produced from the beginning of the year.
On January 30, 2003
from the date of the state registration of open Joint-Stock Company "Polotsk — Steklovolokno" by Vitebsk regional Executive Committee the society has got the status of a legal entity.
On March 4, 2003
there was produced the 500th ton of glass fiber from the moment of start-up of the plant.
On February 17, 2004
the 2 milliardth meter of glass fabric was produced, and already on February 26, 2008the2,5 milliardth meter of glass fabric was produced.
